- We do not collect data in the use of this site. Our website hosting providers do produce reports on site usage which
does not show to us any personal details (IP Address etc). However, we cannot be 100% certain their hosting environment does not
monitor traffic in more detail. Whilst we have checked UK2's terms and conditions
These relate to the interaction between us, Penetralia, and them, UK2.net, rather than the effects of their hosting services on the final end user.
- Data you give us
- If you contact us (rather than just using our website) you will supply us with all the information and meta data relevant to the communication channel you use (Mastodon, email etc).
Whilst we do not record or use this data, it is made available to us as it is to anyone else you contact. If you email is about one of our cases, we may use anonymized data in our work. For example,
we may say to the people we are complaining to that we have received x number of emails about this issue, without saying who they are from.. If your email contains
useful information to help our cause we may also say something like "it has been said that blah blah blah" but would not divulge who said it without express permission.
- Required Cookies
- This website is just an information site and does not require cookies to function with the exception of a ""Session Cookie"
The HTTP protocol which you are using to view this website, is a stateless protocol. This means that, although you know you are moving around the website, our server does not. Each time
you click a link, the server thinks you are a new visitor. A little bit like "Groundhog Day"! The purpose of a session cookie is to remind the server that you have already visited
this site. However, if you close your browser then re-open it and come back to the site, the session cookie will be lost so the server thinks you are a new visitor again. If you check the cookies in your browser you will see one called
PHPSESSID with the value of "59748df0d9a666a2ca1d4f200e43c77d", Go ahead, click through a few pages and notice the Name & Value remain the same. If you close your browser then re-open it, the
cookie will still be called PHPSESSID but the value will change.
- Third Party Cookies
- We do not (and will not) use 3rd party cookies that track or monitor your movements. The site has been built using a free HTML template and we have checked it to ensure
that it does not track usage either, but it does use federated services (like fontawesome) and, although we beleive they do not log traffic, we cannot be 100% certain..

- This website tries to inform visitors of useful information provided on other websites and, consequently, provides links to those sites. Each site will have it's own
privacy and cookie policies and you are advised to check them all individually.
